IPERMOB is a project in Tuscany within the domain of “Intelligent Transport Systems”, proposing a multi-tier approach for developing an Information System for urban mobility.

Within the workshop the actual trends in the engineering of ITS will be discussed focusing on wireless techniques for information processing, sharing, and presenting.
Moreover, the issues of handling, serializing, addressing, and processing large data volumes, more specifically the opportunity to use the grid infrastructure and distributed calculus for accessing data gathered by ITS will be discussed.
