Since summer 2010 SIAF - the International School for Advanced Education in Volterra, offers a new programme "Italian Art and Designer Course", designed for Chinese architects and designers.

The participants will be accommodated at SIAF Campus in Volterra (one hour from Pisa, Siena and Florence), where all the classes will be held.

The programme will last 2 weeks with the following general structure: classroom sessions and visit to touristic locations.

Lectures will be held by academics and professionals in Italian roman and medioeval history, Renaissance and contemporary art.

Participants will be plunged in a full immersion experience to get in touch with the Italian art, history, architecture and culture. SIAF proposes the vist of the most important touristic places in Tuscany - the classic Tuscany- but also about the alternative itineraries, less known sights - the hidden Tuscany.

During the programme the participants will have the chance to visit MAXXI (National Museum of XXI century Arts) and MACRO (Museum of contemporary art) in Rome, Design Museum in Milan, Ferragamo Museum and Uffizi in Florence and Biennale in Venice. They will also visit Piaggio Museum and the Medioeval Festival in Volterra.
